September 25
Today we depart Essex County and Windsor area and we begin our Rail and Sail Journey into New York and Vermont. We travel into New York and
we make our overnight at the beautiful Sandstone Inn located a short distance shuttle to the Turning
Stone Resort/Casino. Dinner is on your own this evening at the resort. Gaming and meal voucher are
included.
September 26
Breakfast is served this morning at the resort before our early departure for the Utica Station. We
board our first railroad in Utica for a scenic 2.5 hour journey into the Adirondack Mountains where we
will disembark at the Thendara Station in Old Forge. Enjoy a picnic lunch served at the station upon
arrival. We board the coach for a scenic journey along the Hudson River to our next destination,
White River Junction, VT. We make a rest stop along our ride. We check into our hotel for the next
two evenings. Dinner is included at a nearby restaurant. (B,D)
September 27
Breakfast is served at the hotel. Today we board the coach for a journey into the White Mountains of
New Hampshire. Our first stop this morning takes us to the Hobo Railroad in Lincoln, NH for a scenic
journey along the Pemigewasset River and the White Mountains. Lunch on your own in the town of
North Woodstock. This afternoon we visit the Fadden’s Sugarhouse for a maple sugaring talk and
tasting. We return to Vermont where we have dinner at a local restaurant before returning to the
hotel. (B,D)
September 28
Breakfast is included this morning before our departure. We make our way to Lake George where we
board the Lake George Steamboat Company for a scenic luncheon cruise on the lake. We continue
west making our way to Verona, NY where we make our overnight this evening. Dinner is on your
own this evening at the Turning Stone Resort. Gaming and Meal Voucher are included at the Turning
Stone Resort. (B,L)
September 29
Breakfast is included this morning before departing for home with arrival approximately 6-7pm. (B)
